Dr. Jim McKay

Dr Jim McKay was born in San Antonio Texas and raised in West Texas. He completed his pre-dental training at Texas Tech University in 1967 and received his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental School in Houston in 1971.

Dr McKay completed a three year rotating dental program serving as a Captain in the military at Camp Zama Japan during the Vietnam War, where he was assigned to a major evacuation hospital for wounded soldiers. In 1974 upon completion of his military service Dr. McKay came to Fort Worth and worked as an associate of Dr. Jim Burnet.

After working with Dr. Burnet for the next two years, Dr. McKay opened his own practice in 1976. The practice was located on Hulen Street until 1984 when it was relocated to its present location on Bryant Irvin Road.

With a strong desire to stay abreast of the latest developments in dentistry for his patients, Dr. McKay has attended many continuing education programs and will continue to do so in the future. With 35 years of experience, his primary interests are Cosmetic, Restorative and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. McKay is actively involved the local, state and national dental communities. He has served as president of the Ft. Worth Chapter of the Academy of General Dentist, was a State Delegate and committee member of the Fort Worth District Dental Society and is a founding member of the Ft. Worth Dental Study Club. Dr. McKay is also a member of the Texas Dental Association and the America Dental Association.

Dr. McKay has served on the Board of Directors of The Downtown Lions Club and is past president of the Mont Del Home Owners Association. He and his wife Marcy are very active in their church.

Dr. McKay and Marcy have raised three daughters who have all attained advanced degrees in the health field. All are married and have presented them with 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson.

When Dr. McKay can tear himself away from the grandkids, you most likely will find him outdoors enjoying, boating, swimming, snow skiing or bicycling.

Dr. Jason Fowler

Dr. Jason Fowler graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2002 with a BS in biology. He then received his dental training at the University of Texas San Antonio Dental School, considered to be one of the best, if not the best dental school in the country. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May 2006.
Similar to Dr. McKay, Dr. Fowler’s primary interests include cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry.

Dr. Fowler knows that dentistry is constantly evolving and changing, and he strives to stay up to date with the latest technology through continuing education programs. He also participates in the local, state, and national dental societies.

Dr. Fowler’s faith and love of family drive his philosophy of dentistry and life. He is honored to be working alongside Dr. McKay, and he takes seriously the responsibility of educating patients and helping them reach the long-term goal of optimal dental health.

Dr. Fowler is delighted to be back in Fort Worth where all of his family lives and where he spent much of his time growing up. He and his wife Sarah are actively seeking a church home and look forward to becoming more involved in the community.
